  Tim Batt

2019

Picture
I could have easily watched their back and forth for hours. Batt proved a confident and engaging host, aided by Rowell as the perfect sidekick.
- NZ Herald
a well-executed show. The audience enjoyed the show. I enjoyed the show. Thumbs up from me.
- The Speakeasy
a warm and light-hearted night out, and I appreciated the off-beat banter and quirkiness of the show’s format.  Disasteradio was great with his unscripted probing, amiable swordplay with Tim and of course, his computer genius.
- Mac + Me
If you’re getting a bit of show fatigue and keen for something a bit different and unpredictable, this is a great late night treat. 4 stars
- KeepingUpWithNZ
Batt’s charisma and amiable persona make him the ideal host while Disasteradio provides well-timed musical cues as the show’s one-man house band... this is a great late night treat. 4 stars
- Appetite For the Arts
It’s a good time. Space Couch is a talk show without the hyperactivity of common long-form content, and that’s a good thing.

Great material delivered with panache… He's clever and he's got something to say.
- Stuff.co.nz
Batt is extremely quick and approaches things both laterally and literally. The combination of quite high concept material with crude cutaways and a general disregard for structure make for an enjoyable and surprising show.
- Scoop.co.nz
For fans of smart, enjoyable political comedy this comes highly recommended
- Theatreview
The bottom line is Tim's funny… and by my gauge, one of the brightest young comedians the Southern Hemisphere's seen in yonks. - Whats Good Blog

2015

Incredibly refreshing, honest and relatable – a must-see at this year's comedy gala.
-
3NEWS
Tim switches between an amiable, grinning charmer and a very angry, political man in a heartbeat. - GATHER AND HUNT
Even though he has performed on television, a regular on the 7 Days show, one cannot help but feel he would clean up at university o-weeks and dunedin related festivals or in some underground nyc venue where early american comedic greats started out.
- KeepingUpWithNZ
Full disclosure: I want to be this guy’s BFFL. - WHAT'S GOOD BLOG
Batt's reactive opinions are on par with George Carlin and Bill Hicks, but the aggression of these late comics is replaced with a youthful and almost optimistic exuberance
- TheatreScenes

2014

Picture
His delivery and rapport-building being akin to the best in business
- Gather and Hunt
Tim Batt is all jest and good banter. 5 Stars
-
KeepingUpWithNZ
This reflective pace is, however, excellently balanced with the odd incredulous outburst and cynicism of a young white male torn between his generation Y birthright and fundamentally philosophical views.
- TheatreScenes
Tim Batt's performance is a professional display of a non-professional kiwi archetype
- Theatreview
Go watch a comedian while he’s still affordable because I have no hesitation in predicting that Tim Batt will get to the top of the New Zealand comedy scene in time.
- The Ruminator

2013

Picture
A fast paced, chatty, well timed hour of uncompromised, eloquent comedy.
- Theatreview
Tim Batt’s mischievous smirk and dark wit deliver a barrage of twisted punch lines that will have you chuckling with your hands over mouth, but dying for more.
- Mediaworks' producer/director Damien Daniel
Wildly funny
-
KeepingUpWithNZ
Absolutely one of the best comedy acts I have seen in years, and one of the highlights of this year's international comedy festival. Someone get that man a tv show stat.
- Concrete Playground's Dani McAllen
